Ascend was founded by David Liddicoat, who brings more than a decade of hands-on experience building high-performing offshore teams — including over three years living and working in the Philippines. Originally from Perth, Australia and now based in Zionsville, Indiana, David is a seasoned software and SaaS operator with deep expertise in global sourcing and cost transformation.
At Genesys, David scaled a global shared services operation from zero to more than 530 employees, across every department in the company, delivering over $40 million in annual operating expense savings. Most recently at Talkdesk, he built multi-functional teams across India and the Philippines, shaping the company’s global location strategy. His earlier career spans finance leadership roles at Symantec and Intuit in Silicon Valley, and a decade advising private clients at an Australian financial planning firm.
David holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from the University of Western Australia and an MBA from the BYU Marriott School of Business.
